WE ARE ALL ONE - THERE IS ONLY ONE.

I have always loved Master Choa Kok Sui's  prayer
‘I AM THAT I AM’
When I say, hear or read this prayer I have an all-consuming visceral response - an infusion of love & peace & joy!

WE ARE ALL ONE -THERE IS ONLY ONE.

All light is from the same source!
In its many manifestations:
Direct, deflected, dispersed sunlight
Stored, trapped, transmuted or reflected sunlight
It takes many forms and yet is all from the sun!

All water is from the same source!
Rain, hail, ocean, river, snow, ice, mud,
Shower, washing, steam, fog, drinking water
Bath water, water stored in dams, tanks, buckets & bowls, aquafer and artesian water.
All water & all from the same source!

The Soul is also from the one source!
The incarnated soul is present in each of us and has as many manifestations and varieties as water and light.
Yet we are all from the same source
We are all one
There is only one

The prayer
I AM the Soul.
I AM that I AM
I AM not the body.
I AM not the emotions.
I AM not the thoughts.
I AM not the mind.
The mind is only
a subtle instrument of the soul.
I AM the soul

I AM a Spiritual being of Divine Intelligence,
Divine Love, Divine Power.
I AM one with the higher self.
I AM that I AM.

I AM one with the Divine Spark.
I AM a child of God.
I AM connected with God.
I AM one with God.
I AM one with All.

THE QUIET MIND.

A quiet and calm mind  ...it's the dream of every meditator!
This week a client said how when he tries to meditate his mind just will not settle!
Many clients and students have mentioned this phenomena.

I have found this description of the 9 levels of mental stability to be very helpful.
I find it encouraging and comforting on this journey into the inner realms through the act of meditation!

Nine levels of Mental Stability *
1
Settling
The initial wish to focus the mind and desist from distraction.
2
Continuous settling
Sustaining focus and continuing to guard the mind against distraction.
3
Resettling
Here it is easier to focus and recognise distraction.
4
Complete Settling
Continuously returning to the object of focus.
5
Taming
Mastering concentration and experiencing the benefits of a trained mind
6
Pacifying
Clear recognition to the hindrances to meditation.
7
Completely Pacifying
Elimination of the defects of meditation
8
One Pointed
The ability to sustain tranquil focus without distraction.
9
Equipoise
Spontaneous and effortless resting of the mind.
*This summary is from the Shamatha Meditation tradition – this is the Buddhist practice of calming the mind. This is done by practicing single-pointed meditation most commonly through the mindfulness of breathing. Shamatha is common to all Buddhist traditions.

Like all things there is movement in this chart which reminds me to be accepting, hopeful and persistent in my practice.

WHAT IS ARHATIC YOGA?

Arhatic Yoga (preparatory level) course are offered in Brisbane link

ALL PRANIC HEALERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS OPPORTUNITY!.

What is Arhatic Yoga?
'Arhat' describes a highly evolved being. This advanced yoga system was given by Mahaguruji Mei Ling to Master Choa Kok Sui. It has it's origins in China, India and Tibet. In addition to being an advanced technique practiced by Spiritual Initiates it also synthesizes and integrates all 7 yogas. Learn to experience the essence and powers of these yogas: Raja yoga, Karma yoga, Kundalini yoga, Gnana yoga, Bhakti yoga, Mantra yoga and simplified Hatha yoga.
You will first undertake the purification of the physical, etheric, astral, and mental bodies. Then the chakras are substantially activated in a secret sequence to safely and effectively awaken and then circulate the Kundalini energy throughout the body. This technique is practiced by very advanced and evolved yogis. It is the foundation for building the much coveted 'Golden Body'.
What is the purpose of Arhatic Yoga?
The purpose of Arhatic Yoga is to produce intelligent, compassionate, good hearted and powerful spiritual beings.

Two short video clips talking about Arhatic Yoga by Master Danny & Master Stephen Co

My experience of Arhatic Yoga:
After searching for a spiritual way all through my adult life I attended Arhatic Yoga (Prep Level) in Sydney in 2004 with Master Chao Kok Sui himself.
From the end of the weekend my spiritual thirst was finally quenched. I knew that I had been shown techniques and meditations to grow and evolve and finally to find peace and purpose in my life.
I am continually blessed to practice these teachings of Master Choa Kok Sui's amazing spiritual program!
Master Choa Kok Sui’s Arhatic practice develops the golden body allowing an Arhatic Yogi to access and experience higher intuition and spiritual teachings plus the accompanying gifts and graces this brings.
What are you taught?
Arhatic Yoga (Prep Level) introduces you to:
·        4 meditation techniques including Twin Hearts, Meditation on the Soul,  plus one to cleanse your chakras and energy body and another to awaken your kundalini energy safely. These meditations systematically balance and expand your chakras allowing you to build the sensitivity and capacity to perceive and contain the subtle vibrations of the Divine.
·        3 breathing techniques to help build the energy body and increase the circulation of energy in the physical, etheric, emotional and mental bodies.
·        A powerful cleansing & purifying technique to displace your fear, anxiety, anger, frustration and all suffering from the subtle bodies and replace with the virtues of generosity, loving-kindness, compassion, one-pointedness, honesty and discernment.
·
This is such an opportunity to grow!!
(Prerequisites for the Arhatic Yoga course are the three Pranic Healing Foundation Courses)

The cost of this Higher Course is $770, Concession $550 & the re-sit fee $250. A payment plan is available. For more information please contact us at the Pranic Healing and Meditation Centre in Newmarket, Brisbane website

Compassion

This week a client was asking me about the qualities of compassion.
As we spoke of it our understanding began to shift and change!
We noticed just the word <compassion> had power and as our attention moved to focus on the aspects and qualities of the <compassion> it produced a stillness, a peace, a meditative quality to the room. It felt as if the tensions in our lives dissolved and we were left to bathe in the light of Stillness. Ahhh…

So what is Compassion and what is the evidence that I have it in my life?

Master Choa Kok Sui says all spiritual qualities need cultivation and work in the form of self-awareness, discipline and determination.
Meditation is not enough. There must also be character building with inner reflection and the practice of active virtue in our spiritual practice and daily lives.
It is a vibration, a state of being, it is a flow of energy through each cell, organ and chakra.
It is not certain words or actions ... it is an emanation from the inside out.

The simple definition of compassion…
The word compassion comes from a Latin word meaning to "co-suffer."
Having compassion is being able to be with someone who is in the throes of passion (suffering) and not be negatively affected or drawn into it.
Wikipedia says:
Compassion is more involved than simple empathy. It commonly gives rise to an active desire to alleviate another's suffering.
Dictionary.com says:
a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another .. accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
A more powerful and definitive meaning is given by Thubten Chodron (Buddhist nun and author of ‘Buddhism for Beginners’)
the wish for all sentient beings to be free from suffering and its causes’
She goes on to say “Compassion is like love in that it is generated on the basis of seeing everyones happiness and suffering to be equally significant.”

Master Choa Kok Sui (Founder of Pranic Healing & Arhatic Yoga) describes how this virtue is related to the teaching that ‘we are all one and there is only one’. Compassion is the knowing that we are all of equal value/appreciation. This is the basis of the Law of Karma. Thus, in the moment I realize suffering is present, and that through my actions it can be removed or relieved, no matter whose it is, then I have the opportunity to help in any way I can to relieve the suffering and the causes of the suffering.
MCKS also explains how different understandings can co-exist in the form of different levels of truth. That is, as we change, grow and evolve - our understandings of what is truth also change, grow and evolve.

This analogy used by Thubten Chodron helped me understand a little more about compassion.
When I step on a thorn, my hand reaches down and pulls the thorn out and soothes and bandages the foot. The hand doesn’t tell the foot it is stupid and did the wrong thing and ignores or punishes the foot!
The hand and the foot are part of the same body/being and naturally without thinking they help each other.

We are all one and there is only one - one for all and all for one!

And so it is with us. We are all part of the same organism and from the same source.
As this truth becomes clear and I live this truth in my life I will naturally and without thinking reach out to others knowing we are all One.

Pranic Healing Practitioners and Arhatic Yogi practitioners are offered this level of application, practice and experience through the teachings of Master Choa Kok Sui. These are the qualities we hope to develop with time and practice.

More on this subject will be presented in the Monday evening talks and meditations LINK

Growth through Guilt.

Happy Easter!
Last week a client presented at the Centre with ‘poor health, unhappiness and stuckness’ and went on to describe her feelings of guilt around past events in her life. I became aware that she was suffering from a ‘neurotic’ form of guilt that was holding her back from living her best and most beautiful life.
For my client this was a beginning point of increasing self-awareness through a more healthy expression of appropriate guilt!
Appropriate guilt produces growth through self-responsibility.
Neurotic guilt has a catastrophic effect on our energy body, our health and the way we see the world.

David Richo in his book ‘How to be an Adult’ has a concise exploration of
healthy (appropriate) and unhealthy (neurotic) guilt.
Guilt, its causes and effects, is a challenge for any person and is an indicator of our spiritual development.Richo  states: ‘Guilt is not a feeling but a belief or judgement’
Let’s look at the nature and manifestation of what we describe as guilt.

Appropriate Guilt & MY truth
Neurotic Guilt & OTHERS  truth
Is self-confronting & leads to a resolution
Is a judgement that is self-defeating & leads to suffering
Proceeds or follows unethical behaviour Also called conscience & is evidence of a functional ego
Its origin is in the neurotic ego & it leads to inner conflict
There is accountability
Tactic used to avoid both feelings & truth
Is the adult response
Response of the scared child within
It indicates an upset of a natural balance between ourselves and others.
Learned & unhealthy response related to another’s truth & not your own
Balance is restored by admission, reconciliation & restitution
Seeks to be resolved by blaming others or punishment
Appropriate guilt vanishes automatically with the ‘triple A’ approach

·        Admission
·        Amendment
·        Affirmation
Neurotic guilt is a technique to stay stuck. This guilt is a mask we use- refusing to acknowledge need to change /growth
·        Fear
·        Refusal to take responsibility
·        Anger
·        Denial of the truth
Richo, D.(1991) How to be an Adult Paulist Press www.paulistpress.com

What are the possible consequences of identifying & working with guilt?
I could have the ability to hold myself accountable and not blame myself or others.
I could then take the steps necessary to spiritually grow .
These steps in Pranic Healing taught to us by Master Cho Kok Sui start with what is called Character Building.
Character Building requires the practice of Inner Reflection & Firm Resolution to act with virtue.
This is how my thoughts, feelings and actions will gradually change.
These steps are only possible if I am not tangled up with neurotic guilt!

If you would like to explore this in more depth you are welcome to book a session link.

Prayers are Powerful.

This week a client & I were reminding each other of the power of prayers, the transformative effects of praying & our love of prayers.
Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder & originator of Modern Pranic Healing & Arhatic Yoga says it is important to acknowledge a higher power .. this keeps the spiritual aspirant safe. One way is through prayer. In Pranic Healing we learn the effect of invocations, blessings, thanksgiving prayers and prayers of sacrifice & blessing.

Prayers are powerful, prayers are soothing & prayers allow us to be infused by the Divine!
Praying is a cornerstone in spiritual practice because it reduces our ego and enhances our faith.
Over time, frequent prayers help to dissolve our mind/ego and we gain access to the higher Universal Virtues such as humility, compassion, mercy, understanding, generosity, tolerance and gratitude that inhabit our inner world and these will shine out through our thoughts and actions.
Pranic Healing uses a number of powerful and life changing prayers. These are:
THE LORD’S PRAYER
PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI
SOUL AFFIRMATION – I AM THAT I AM and
THE GREAT INVOCATION

THE LORD’S PRAYER
The Lord’s prayer is revealed to be a gentle yet powerful Kundalini Meditation:
Each line corresponds to a chakra and when spoken/heard that chakra is activated.
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

THE PRAYER OF ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI
The Prayer attributed to St Francis of Assisi is transformational and guides us through the steps of sacred alchemy:
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

The beautiful SOUL AFFIRMATION helps to correct our ‘mistaken identity’ reminding us of our true Essence.
I AM THAT I AM
I AM not the body.
The body is the vehicle of the Soul.
I AM not the emotion.
I AM not the thought.
The carpenter is not the furniture.
The emotions and the thoughts are the products of the Soul.
I AM not the mind.
The computer user is not the computer.
The mind is only a subtle instrument of the Soul.
I AM the Soul.
I AM a spiritual being of Divine Intelligence, Divine Love, Divine Power.
I AM one with my Higher Soul;
I AM THAT I AM.
I AM one with my Divine Spark.
I AM a Child of God.
I AM connected with God.
I AM one with God.
I AM one with All.

Last but by no means least is THE GREAT INVOCATION
Describes the three aspects of the Divine (Light, Love & Power) and how we are to allow ‘the plan of love and life’ to be manifested.
From the point of light within the mind of God,
Let Light stream forth into the minds of every person, every being.
Let light descend on Earth.
From the point of love within the heart of God,
Let love stream forth into the hearts of every person, every being.
May the Great Avatar return to Earth.
From the centre where the will of God is known,
Let purpose guide the will of every person, every being.
The purpose which the Holy Masters know and serve.
Let good will and the will to do good descend on Earth.
From the centre which we call the human race,
Let the plan of love and light work out.
May it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let light, love and power manifest the plan on earth.
So Be It!

What a beautiful smorgasbord of prayer, each one a powerful contribution to our spiritual evolution.

Manifesting Your Goals 2015!

New Year resolutions are an important part of our yearly cycle.
Question: Who wants to be worse off than they were last year?
Answer: No one!!

Most of us want to be more successful, happier, healthier, more prosperous, more giving and abundant.
Whether your goal is to ‘manifest your greatness & serve humanity’ or a smaller and more immediate project it still requires goal setting!

There is a science behind setting goals, preparation is needed, fine tuning, experimentation and intelligent evaluation.

How do we set goals? A starting point is to focus on these 5 areas:
  • Health
  • Relationships
  • Work projects
  •  Finances
  • Spirituality
First choose an expansive goal e.g. ‘good health & vitality’
Then a goal that is more focused e.g. ‘strong bones & flexible knees’

Pranic Healing teaches more than healing.
It teaches us how to use the ‘invisible currents’ to achieve our goals.
Simple guidelines include:
  • Harness the power of energy
  • Set your goal / target & review & revise as required
  • Remove all obstructing thoughts, emotions & character defects that limit the success of your project &
  • Other importance & essential tools are self-awareness, purification and meditation, law of karma and forgiveness. These enhance the conditions and causes that allow you to materialize your goals.
Goals can be achieved (materialized/manifested) in a day, a week, a year, in 5 years or this lifetime or over many lifetimes..

Master Choa Kok Sui reminds us ‘we should never stop trying’ as lessons and Karma go with the Soul and not the body

Other simple guidelines for goal setting are taught in Pranic Healing Courses:
  • Neutralize negative karma and be aware of the seeds you plant
  • Build positive karma
  • Only having 2-3 simple goals at a time
  • Having clarity of intention as thoughts are powerful

Remember: ‘whatever thought is held repeatedly and with certainty will tend to materialize physically’ (Both positive and negative thoughts)

Want to know more?
I will be offering a series of talks focussed on GOAL SETTING over this next 4 weeks:
